The SM7B windscreen cover does amazing job to remove background noise and issues with “plosive” sounds when recording, singing and speacking, it can give you a very clear and isolated voice by filtering the abnormal sound wave around.
It protects and prevents the dust from getting into the mic, help with a harsh “P” soubds when speaking directly into the mic. Excellent on making difference on your mic that fit for, took most of the annoying to hiss out, apart from the computer and audio fan noise.
One other benefit is that the windscreen also acts as a cushion for the inevitable drunken mic drop after a typically terrible rendition of “Baby Got Back” . . . Please ban this song from karaoke forever!!!
